Preliminary note: To publish our application www.whatzelink.com on the Google Play Store and presumably the Apple Store as well, we must display the applicable standards implemented for child safety, against child exploitation, and against child sexual abuse. This page also addresses their requirements.
Private communications between members:
These communications include:
peer-to-peer audio-video-text conferences that you can create via the 'conferences' section.
as well as peer-to-peer communications in the context of calls from one member to another.
It is assumed that these members know each other otherwise because they have put themselves in contact here by communicating with each other via their email addresses through the 'Contacts' tab (refusing strangers is a rule that goes without saying).
These communications are not recorded on our end; we plan to add a 'Save' button, in which case we will need to revise our text here. Currently, this button does not exist.
As for moderation on our part, there will be none since these are private conversations that do not concern us (example: do Orange or France Telecom have a moderation system for calls between members who know each other: NO (laughing out loud)).
Therefore, you need to moderate yourselves live.
Discussions in the 'Discussions' section:
These are public communications (even if they are only visible once logged in).
Possible content in this public area:
URLs leading to other sites not hosted by us: videos, images,
texts added by users in the post, comments and share areas.
We do not host any images or videos posted by users on our end, except for the users' own logo if they add one (FAILURE, we have not put pre-publication moderation on this).
You can ignore all posts/comments/shares from a member:
by using the following grey button on his post: which turns red if you have blacklisted the individual: .
If you observe abuses punishable by law:
You must report the individual to the competent authorities in your territory (the police).
We advise you, if possible, to take screenshots showing the infraction as well as the username of the person you are talking to, preferably also showing the time and your operating system, and to communicate them to the competent authorities (if it is not possible to take a screenshot, note the username of the person you are talking to and the current date and time and provide them with all the necessary information).
If necessary, legal and legitimate, these competent authorities may then contact us through the competent authorities in our territory to obtain more information.
You can also inform us by reporting the individual:
Report the individual to us using this grey button on their post, comment or share: which turns red if you have reported the individual to us: .
The report is irreversible and automatically results in the permanent hiding of this member from you. No other automatic action is taken regarding the report.
We will take note of the report as soon as possible:
If the report does not appear to contravene our principles or constraints, we will ignore it, informing the reporter of this by email.
If we judge that the post, comment or share should be deleted, we will do so and inform the accused that a report has been filed and of the consequences on his/her account and/or post and/or comment and/or share so that he/she calms down quickly and proceeds to self-censorship.
Once logged in, legal documents, including this one, are accessible via the Options section.
